Gabe Rose-Gonzalez Superb noise rock out of Denver from this excellent 2-piece. They are always dialed in, and their live shows are just as sharp as these studio cuts. Worth supporting. Favorite track: Harry Dean Stanton Was A Western Star.

about

“Simulators are the kind of post-punk that carves out the overtly atmospheric quality for stark contrasts of tone and angular rhythms that somehow still flow without getting splintery and yet, despite that intentional minimalism, bursting with Bryon Parker’s raw emotional vocals.”
-Tom Murphy / Queen City Sounds and Art

“Alternative music has always been a fertile ground for the exploration of sound boundaries and transgression or fusion of music genres. Underground has always favored experimentalism and the spirit of adventure in musical creation, giving shelter to bands that by reinventing their influences managed to create their own identity. Simulators is a duo from Denver (Colorado, USA) formed by Brian Polk (drums) and Bryon Parker (baritone guitar/vocals). They create an energetic cocktail of noise rock and post-punk with an experimental edge. They released TEETH, EYES AND THREE PATTERNS composed by 13 songs and more recently a three song EP released by Forbidden Place Records. Simulator’s sound can hold some influences from 90’s bands that guided the way in alternative music by playing an abrasive and extremely experimental noise rock like Scratch Acid and The Jesus Lizard but their sound is distinctly their own.”
